 # Privacy Policy for VerseFlow

## Overview

Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at VerseFlow. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. 

This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through our mobile application ("VerseFlow") and any related services.

## Information Collection and Use

**1. Personal Information**

VerseFlow is designed with your privacy in mind. We do **not** collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) to remote servers. You are not required to create an account, provide an email address, or log in to use VerseFlow.

**2. Local Storage & Journaling**

Any data you generate within the app, including but not limited to **Journal Entries**, custom verse styling preferences, and bookmarks, is stored **locally on your device** using your device's internal storage databases (SQLite). This private data never leaves your device and our team has no access to it.

**3. Network Activity**

The app fetches publicly available background images from third-party services (such as Unsplash) over the internet to enhance the visual experience. These background requests are standard HTTP requests. They do not transmit any of your personal data, preferences, or journaling content to those external servers.

**4. Sharing Features**

VerseFlow allows you to export and share stylized verses to your device's native sharing dialog. When you elect to share an image or text from VerseFlow, that action is handled by your operating system, and we do not track, log, or store the contents of what you share or who you share it with.

**5. Advertising and Tracking**

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in VerseFlow. To facilitate ad delivery and measure performance, Google AdMob may collect and use certain data, including your device's Advertising ID (such as the Android Advertising ID or iOS Identifier for Advertisers) and device information. This data is used to serve relevant ads to you and to improve the advertising experience.

**6. Analytics**

While VerseFlow does not use traditional user-behavior analytics (like Google Analytics), Google AdMob may track ad-related interactions (such as impressions and clicks) to manage and optimize ad delivery. Your personal journal entries and preferences remain completely private and are never shared with these services.

## Third-Party Privacy Policies

While using VerseFlow, your device may automatically fetch aesthetic background images from image hosting APIs and advertisements from Google AdMob. Please note that these third-party services have their own privacy policies governing their services and network data:

## Device Permissions

VerseFlow may request temporary access to your device's storage directory in order to construct shareable images. This permission is only used to fulfill the core application functionality of generating an image card file before handing it over to your OS for sharing. It is not utilized to access your private photos or external files.

## Your Choices and Opt-Out

You can manage your privacy preferences and opt-out of personalized advertising through your device's system settings:

* **Android:** Open the "Settings" app, navigate to "Google" > "Ads," and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization."

* **iOS:** Open the "Settings" app, navigate to "Privacy" > "Apple Advertising," and switch off "Personalized Ads."

## Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and publishing the new document here or within our app store listings.
